⚙️ Printing Parameters

  • Substrates Tempered / Untempered Glass
  • Screen Mesh 200 - 300 Mesh
  • Squeegee Hardness 70° - 80°
  • Environmental RoHS / Halogen-Free Compliant
  • Baking Requirement 180°C - 190°C for 6-8 mins
⚠️ Crucial Mixing Warning:

DO NOT use high-speed mechanical mixers. Stir slowly by hand. High-speed mixing destroys the alignment of the mirror pigment particles, resulting in a dull, grey finish.

DO NOT mix with other ink brands. Use only the dedicated JM-Thinner if viscosity adjustment is needed. Never over-dilute.

🛡️ Mandatory Cover Coat System

Due to the nature of mirror pigments, the ink surface has low scratch and chemical resistance. It MUST be overprinted (backed) with a protective cover ink after the mirror layer is baked.

Приложение Recommended Cover Ink
Appliance Glass JD-B, FU, or NHB (2-Component)
Cabinet Glass SBK Glass Ink (1K Low-Baking)
Sliding Doors BLA or BL Glass Ink

* Note: The above cover inks are recommendations. Always perform small batch adhesion and compatibility tests based on your specific production line before mass printing.

Часто задаваемые вопросы

Technical answers for screen printing mirror silver ink on glass.

Why does my printed mirror ink look dull or grey? +
This is usually caused by two factors: 1) High-speed mechanical mixing was used, which destroys the delicate structure of the mirror pigments. Always stir slowly by hand. 2) The baking temperature or time was insufficient. Ensure the ink is baked at 180°C - 190°C for 6-8 minutes.
Is a cover coat (backing ink) absolutely necessary? +
Да. Mirror silver inks naturally have lower scratch and chemical resistance due to the floating alignment of the metallic pigments. To protect the mirror effect from scratches, humidity, and chemicals, you must apply a compatible cover ink (like JD-B or SBK) over the baked mirror layer.
Can I use this JM series mirror ink on plastics like PC or PET? +
No. The JM series is formulated specifically for glass substrates and requires a high baking temperature (180°C+) which will melt most plastics. For plastic applications, please refer to our dedicated Plastic Mirror Ink series or consult our technical team.
