Common Printing Problems Solved (FAQ)

Why does the ink easily peel off my plastic PP/PE bottles?
Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) have very low surface energy. For silk screen printing bottles made of these materials, you must pre-treat the surface using a flame treatment or corona discharge (reaching at least 38-42 dynes) before applying our specialized PP/PE solvent ink to ensure chemical bonding.
Is this ink suitable for perfume or cosmetic packaging?
Yes. One of the biggest challenges in cosmetic packaging is ink degrading due to the contents. Our 2-component solvent inks are engineered with high cross-linking density, providing outstanding resistance to alcohol, essential oils, and daily cosmetic emulsions.
Do I need to bake the bottles after printing?
It depends on the substrate. For plastic bottles (PET, treated PE/PP), our solvent inks can air-dry or use low-temperature forced air (60°C). However, for silk screen printing on glass bottles, baking at 120°C to 150°C is required to melt the resins into the micro-pores of the glass for permanent adhesion.
Can this ink handle fine text and barcode printing?
Absolutely. The slow-drying retarder solvents in our formulation prevent the ink from drying and blocking the screen mesh during production. This allows for crisp, sharp printing of small text, barcodes, and intricate logos through 300+ mesh screens.
