What is the difference between Water Based and Plastisol ink?
Plastisol is PVC-based, rests on top of the fabric, and feels slightly rubbery. Our water based ink sinks into the fabric, resulting in a breathable, super-soft finish. Additionally, water based inks are significantly more eco-friendly and can be cleaned with water.
How do I prevent water based ink from drying in the screen?
Because it air-dries quickly, it can clog the mesh if left idle. To prevent this, keep the screen flooded between prints, maintain a humid workshop environment, and consider adding a 3-5% Retarder (缓干剂) to slow down the evaporation process during long production runs.
Does water based ink work on dark garments?
Yes. For dark garments, you need to use our High-Opacity Water Based Ink (水性胶浆/Discharge ink) or print a reliable white underbase first. This ensures bright, vivid colors without losing the soft touch.
