Technical FAQ

Is Surface treatment mandatory before printing?

Yes. To ensure optimal adhesion, the surface tension of PE or PP materials must reach at least 40 dyne/cm² through flame or corona treatment. For PP substrates, wiping with specialized PP-treatment water is also an effective preparation method.。

What are the drying and curing requirements?

UV-8300-2 is a fast-curing ink. Under a light intensity of 80w/cm, it achieves full curing within 1 to 3 seconds.

How does this ink perform against chemicals and environmental factors?

The ink provides reliable chemical resistance and durability. It passed laboratory tests for alcohol resistance (100 rubs under 200g pressure), alkali resistance (1 hour in 2% NaOH), and water resistance (24-hour immersion) without any abnormalities.。

Does this ink comply with international safety standards?

Yes. All 33 colors in the UV-8300-2 series meet the heavy metal requirements of the European RoHS standards and the Japanese ST standards.

What type of screen and squeegee should I use?

To avoid curing issues caused by ink layers that are too thick, it is recommended to use a monofilament PET screen of 420 mesh/inch or higher and a polyurethane squeegee with a hardness of 75° or more.

How should the ink be stored and handled?

The ink should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and UV exposure; yellow light is considered safe for operation. When sealed properly at room temperature, it has a shelf life of one year.
