GK-3000 1-Component Metal & Glass Ink

1. Overview & Applications

The GK-3000 Series is a premium 1-component, low-temperature baking screen printing ink. It offers exceptional adhesion, superior chemical and weather resistance, and a tough, impact-resistant ink layer. Known for its vibrant colors and excellent printability, it is highly suitable for industrial and decorative applications.

Applicable Substrates: Glass, metals, ceramics, PET, various pre-painted surfaces, and thermosetting resins.

Primary Applications: Home appliance decorative glass, metal nameplates, signs, and ceramic products.

2. Physical & Chemical Performance

Gloss Finish High Gloss
Drying / Curing Conditions Bake at 140°C - 145°C. Touch dry in 5-10 mins; Hard dry in 30 mins.
Environmental Compliance Fully complies with EU RoHS heavy metal standards.
Adhesion (Cross-Hatch Test) 3M Tape Peel Test: 100% Retention (No peeling)
Boiling Water Resistance Submersed in boiling water for 1 hour: No abnormalities
Cold Water Submersion Soaked for 240 hours: No abnormalities
Acid Resistance Soaked in 5% H₂SO₄ solution for 24 hours: No abnormalities
Alkali Resistance Soaked in 5% NaOH solution for 24 hours: No abnormalities
Solvent Resistance (MEK) Cotton swab with MEK, 500g load, 10 rubs: No abnormalities.
*After 100 rubs, slight softening occurs, but hardness fully recovers after 1 hour of air drying.
Grease & Alcohol Resistance Salad oil / Alcohol swab, 500g load, 100 rubs: No abnormalities
Impact Resistance 200g steel ball dropped from 1 meter height: No cracking or bursting (Tested on printed aluminum plate).
Testing Note: The above results were obtained using 102 Extra White ink printed on 2mm glass through a 250-mesh screen, baked at 145°C for 30 minutes, and aged at room temperature for 48 hours. Performance may vary depending on the substrate and specific color formulation. Users must conduct thorough testing before bulk production.

3. Color Series

The GK-3000 series includes 47 standard colors, all rigorously tested to meet EU RoHS heavy metal limits. Pantone color matching formulas are available upon request.

  • Standard Colors: Extra White, Bright Red, Lemon Yellow, Orange, Heliogen Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Bright Green, Deep Black, Clear Varnish, etc.
  • Metallic Colors: Fine/Medium/Coarse Silver, Bright/Dark Silver, Red Gold, Cyan Gold.
  • Pearl Colors: Fine Pearl White, Chameleon (Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Gold), Satin Gold, Bronze.
  • Transparent Colors: Transparent Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple, etc.
  • CMYK Process Colors: Process Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, and Extender Base (Reducing Paste).

4. Processing Instructions & Precautions

  • Thinner Selection: GK-030 (Fast-Dry), GK-040 (Medium-Dry), GK-050 (Slow-Dry), GK-080 (Spraying Thinner).
  • Surface Preparation: Substrates must be thoroughly dusted and degreased before printing or spraying. Failure to do so will compromise adhesion and ink leveling.
  • Defoaming (Optional): If better leveling or defoaming is required, add 0.5% - 1% of 980 Defoamer by weight and mix thoroughly before printing.
  • Storage & Shelf Life: Store in a cool, dry place, sealed tightly. Keep away from open flames and high temperatures. Shelf life is 1 year at room temperature.

Mixing Ratios

Screen Printing Application 100 Parts GK-3000 Ink + 20 - 25 Parts Standard Thinner. Mix thoroughly.
Spraying Application 100 Parts GK-3000 Ink + 50 - 100 Parts GK-080 Spraying Thinner. Mix thoroughly.
Important Disclaimer: Due to the complexity of printing processes and substrate variations, users must conduct small-batch testing to confirm the ink meets their specific requirements before entering bulk production. Do not mix GK-3000 with other ink series or brands to avoid adverse chemical reactions. We assume no liability for damages caused by improper usage.
