JAC - Matte Glass & Metal Ink

1. Overview & Applications

The JAC Series is a premium, 1-component, low-temperature baking ink engineered for high-performance applications on rigid substrates. It is defined by its smooth matte finish, low odor profile, and an exceptionally flexible cured film that withstands extreme mechanical stress.

Applicable Substrates: Metals, Glass, Ceramics, specific Painted surfaces, and Thermosetting Resins.

Primary Applications: Integrated ceiling panels, home appliance glass, metal signage, road signs, and ceramics.

2. Physical & Chemical Performance

Testing Conditions: Printed on 0.1mm aluminum plate using a 250-mesh screen (Color: 101 White). Baked at 180°C for 15 minutes, followed by a 48-hour rest at room temperature.

Gloss Finish Matte
Adhesion (Cross-Hatch) 3M Tape Peel Test: 100% Retention
Mechanical Flexibility Withstands 0.5mm deep drawing and 90-degree bending without film cracking or flaking.
Boiling Water Resistance Submersed in boiling water for 30 minutes: No abnormalities
Acid & Alkali Resistance Soaked in 5% H₂SO₄ (8 hrs) and 5% NaOH (5 hrs): No abnormalities
MEK (Solvent) Resistance Cotton swab with MEK, 500g load, 20 rubs: No abnormalities
Alcohol & Grease Resistance Alcohol (100 rubs) and Salad Oil (24 hrs soak): No abnormalities
Environmental Compliance Fully complies with EU RoHS heavy metal directives.

4. Processing & Baking Guidelines

Application Methods

Process Thinner Selection & Ratio
Screen Printing Add 20 to 30 parts of JAC-200 (Slow-Dry) or JAC-100 (Fast-Dry) Thinner to 100 parts ink.
Spraying Add 50 to 100 parts of commercial Lacquer Thinner (Tianna Water) to 100 parts ink.

Matting Adjustment: While JAC naturally dries to a smooth matte finish, users requiring extreme flatness can add 5% - 10% T-60X Matting Paste to the ink.

Strict Baking Parameters

This ink utilizes a heat-reactive resin system. Baking time is inversely proportional to temperature and pattern size.

  • Standard Baking Window: 170°C - 190°C for 5 to 15 minutes.
  • Maximum Chemical Resistance: Bake at 170°C - 190°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Temperature Limits: Absolute Minimum: 150°C (Ink will fail to cure below this). Absolute Maximum: 220°C (Ink will burn or color shift above this).
Critical Substrate Warning (Mirror / Painted Aluminum): If you experience total adhesion failure on mirror-finish or painted aluminum panels, it is highly likely that the manufacturer applied a protective clear coat containing Silicone Resins or Fluororesins to prevent scratching. These resins drastically lower the surface tension, making ink bonding impossible. You must source aluminum panels free of silicone/fluorine clear coats.
Storage & Precautions: Store in a cool, dry place tightly sealed. Shelf life is 1 year. Always degrease and dust substrates prior to printing. Users MUST conduct comprehensive small-batch reliability testing before initiating mass production. We assume no liability for damages caused by untested applications.
